February Theme

Religion: Love is the major concept emphasizing the importance of God being the priority in our lives. Our students will learn about the golden rule...to love their neighbor as themselves.

Social Studies : Mail Carrier and Presidents will be a focus.

Animal: Groundhog.

Focus On : Shapes: Heart. Color: Red. Letters/Numbers: M-N-O, 9 and 10.

Kindergarten/Jr. Kinder focus

Phonics: Letter/sound recognition will be a focus. We will listen for initial and final sounds, and continue blending sounds. Please continue to practice letter and sound recognition at home. Thank you!

Math: Focusing on writing numbers 1-12 in order.

Science: Plants.

Jr Kindergarten: Testing for Kindergarten. If you are helping your child practice name writing, please teach them to begin with the capital letter and lower case letters as appropriate. Thank you.

Preschool/Pre-Kinder focus

They are being tested to see how much they have learned since the beginning of school in September. We continue to focus on our name and memorizing sight words.
