Featured Staff Member of the month
Mrs. Lilia Rodriguez
was born in Mexico and now resides in Lake Los Angeles with her husband and three children. She enjoys going to the beach, listening to pop music and loves children. She is quite a seamstress and sews most of her clothing. Her goal is to one day become a teacher. She has been working with the younger students for two years and will assist in Kindergarten this year.. We congratulate her and thank her for the wonderful job she is doing. We ask God’s blessings for her and her family. Good luck in your educational pursuit.
Valyermo Festival
Please circle your calendar...Sept. 27 & 28. The Benedictine monks hold this family festival every year and there is enjoyment for people of all ages. This year we will have a table with information on our child care center and our retreat center. Come and enjoy yourselves and stop by our table, which will be located outside the chapel.
School Holy Family Prayer garden
We ask that our new families create a Family Prayer Stone for the prayer garden. It should be placed in the 2008 section. Please use material that is permanent...e.g. permanent markers/outside paint and seal it with plastic spray. This memento will always ensure prayers for your family and hopefully it will encourage families to return in later years to refurbish their stone.
Prayer requests…
There is a binder in the front lobby which is available to families who would like to ask for prayers. This has been well used in the past. Our children love to pray and their prayers are powerful because of their innocence. Let us especially pray for all our families and for the health of Sister Olga who was diagnosed with cancer just recently. God bless you abundantly.
